We all know the feeling of craving something in life. This could be anything from a specific lifestyle to a favorite place to visit; however, today we are going to talk about fighting unhealthy food cravings. The methods we are going to list are based on personal experiences, but feel free to try them out to see if they can work for you also.

Plan Your Meals in Advance
A great way for us to reduce and eliminate cravings of unhealthy food options is to plan our meals in advance. This allows us to know exactly what meals we want for the day, purchase only those ingredients, and eat only what we planned. If we do this, then we have found that our cravings for unhealthy foods will drastically decrease
Don’t Let Yourself Get Too Hungry
Growing up, we were always taught to eat three large meals: breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Eating breakfast, lunch, and dinner still holds true today; however, we want to break those up into six smaller meals per day. This helps us not to get hungry throughout the day, which will then help us to not crave for any unhealthy food options
Exercise Daily
We have talked about being healthy is more than just eating healthy, it involves other touchpoints. One is exercise. When we exercise, it creates such a great mood and feeling in our body that we do not want anything in our body except great food. This is definitely something that we feel can reduce cravings of unhealthy food options.
Reduce Your Stress Level
It is true that sometimes we do stress in life and often times that stress leads to people making bad nutritional choices to help them cope with stress. If this sounds like you, then try to find something that can replace your unhealthy food choice, such as exercising, painting, or reading. If you absolutely need food to help cope, then try having a smoothie or fresh juice
Don’t Tempt Yourself
This one is simple; however, it can be the most difficult to implement because it involves will power. To be as simple as possible: If you know doing something or going somewhere will lead to you making bad nutritional choices then don’t do it. Yes we know, sounds simple but far from it.
These are a few suggestions that we have, based on our personal experience, but please feel free to leave a comment below with suggestions that you may have as well.
Thanks for tuning in this week and look forward to our post next week
